This one-day splinting workshop features dynamic and static progressive designs, which will be demonstrated and then participants will have the opportunity to fabricate. The workshop format includes a power point presentation on the principles of mobilization splinting followed by demonstration and hands on splint lab time.  Attendees will earn 8 CEUs and all splint materials will be provided.  The specific designs include the incorporation of a variety of outriggers including either wires, coils and/or Orfitubes, as well as various Orfit splinting materials.  This splinting workshop is appropriate for OT’s, COTA’s, PT’s, PTA’s and CHT’s working with an upper extremity patient caseload and looking to enhance their splinting skills.

Dynamic Extensor Tendon Orthosis with Outrigger
Functional ulnar/median nerve
PIP dynamic extension (capener)
Radial Nerve Palsy orthosis with finger coils
Static Progressive supination/pronation
