Right Hand Therapy is an AOTA Approved Provider of professional development. AOTA does
not endorse specific course content, products, or clinical procedures.
This course will provide the participant with exceptional hands-on learning about the carpal joints, pathology, evaluation, and emerging concepts in conservative wrist rehabilitation interventions. Understanding the wrist is complex – this presentation aims to simplify common deformities such as DISI, VISI, mid-carpal instability and TFCC injuries with the use of anatomical models and hands on practice opportunities. It is important for the therapist to fully understand the healing process, biomechanics, and sensorimotor system that impacts alignment and function of the wrist. Once this foundation has been established, participants will learn how to confidently perform a comprehensive clinical evaluation, interpret findings, and synthesize and execute an effective plan of care utilizing evidenced-based and functional treatment interventions. Participants will receive a FREE Carpal Puzzle™ model as part of this course!
Following the course, participants will be able to:

Kristy Kreidler, OTR/L, CHT
Kristy has been a licensed Occupational Therapist since 1997 and a Certified Hand Therapist since 2002. She has worked exclusively in outpatient hand therapy since 2002 in multiple locations in both Ohio and California. She has taught many upper extremity courses throughout her career including assisting with the ASHT CHT Prep course, multiple splinting courses, and multiple courses for the Ohio State Occupational Therapy Association. She is currently the outpatient Occupational Therapy manager for the Center for Hand Therapy at Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Akron Ohio and has the pleasure of working with 6 fellowship trained hand surgeons and a team of hand therapists including 9 CHTs. Throughout her career, Kristy has developed an interest in the wrist and has sought out learning opportunities regarding wrist biomechanics. Because of this interest, she developed and patented the Ulnar Booster wrist splint for mid-carpal instability and ulnar sided wrist pain which is now manufactured through North Coast Medical as a Comfort Cool product.
Kristy joined with Lisa Owen, owner of Right Hand Therapy and developer of the Carpal Puzzle in 2020 to combine a common interest in teaching about the wrist and the related biomechanics. We are excited to share our collaboration with you through this CEU course.
