Astronauts print 3D mallet splints in space

Apparently extensor tendon injuries are common among the stars, as well as on earth!  Dr. Wong, founder of 3D4MD, is working to develop a way to use cellphones to scan patients with mallet finger injuries, and print custom splints using solar powered 3D printers and recycled plastic.  How cool is that??!!  Check out the whole story here:
